In November, Michigan voters will be asked to approve two voter-related ballot issues – Promote the Vote and Voters Not Politicians. Promote the Vote would amend the Michigan Constitution to make a voting system that works for all Michigan citizens, that makes voting more accessible, and that ensures that votes are secure and counted. Voters Not Politicians would amend the Michigan Constitution to place an Independent Citizens Redistricting Commission of registered Michigan voters in charge of redistricting, rather than the politicians in the state Legislature. Both of these proposals are supported by the League of Women Voters Michigan. Learn more about these two important ballot proposals which will aim to increase citizen participation in government. Join us! Public is invited! Coffee and cookies will be served. Church is accessible – wheelchair ramp and elevator available League of Women Voters Dearborn/Dearborn Heights 313-278-6476
