He will share that the basic conclusion after 25 years of research is that Michigan will not have a middle class again until we transition to the knowledge economy that is the path to prosperity in the 21st Century. anniversary of its founding on February 14, 1920.

to join us at the event. This is an
opportunity to meet our local policy makers, face-to-face, in a casual
environment. It is a chance for our
office holders to meet YOU! Please join
At our January Membership Program Planning meeting we will
review our local and state programs We will be making proposals for
retaining, amending or adding to existing League programs. All members are
invited to discuss the proposals. The resulting suggestions for local
program will be considered by the local board that recommends a proposed
program. This program is adopted or amended by members at the Annual Meeting in
Suggestions made for state program will be sent to the state
board that formulates a proposed program from suggestions of all local Leagues.
Program choices will be made for two years by the delegates at the biennial
State Convention in the spring of 2019.

The Michigan Truth Tour is a statewide roadshow, put on by the Center for Michigan’s Bridge Magazine (www.bridgeMI.com), attempting to ground the upcoming state election in fact and discussion of the state’s most important issues. Michigan Divided is an exploration of political division in Michigan. Filmed throughout 2017, the film follows six Michigan families during a period of divisive politics. What can the state’s residents agree on?
And how can we work together for a better future? After the film there will be a guided conversation on the movie’s themes
and what steps we can take to resolve the state’s political division.
